Sophia has been a life-long advocate for women’s reproductive rights and was the former Vice Chair of Planned Parenthood Chicago. Whether it’s abortion, birth control, or breast cancer screenings, the government has no place telling a woman what to do with her body. As Mayor, Sophia will fight against any attempts to criminalize abortion and contraception or punish women and will stand up for victims of rape, incest, and domestic abuse. Chicago will remain a safe haven for women seeking abortion care and support from out of state.
